This week, Endiprev is starting to support Siemens Gamesa in another offshore wind project. Our teams will be working on the Kaskasi Wind Farm in the North Sea.

Endiprev will work on another offshore wind project for SGRE

After the support Endiprev gave to Siemens Gamesa (SGRE) in the Global Tech I Wind Farm, the OEM chose our company to work on another offshore wind project. Throughout 6 months, our team will perform installation and finishing works in the Kaskasi Wind Farm. The kick-off of the offshore wind project was yesterday, accompanied by the Engineering Manager and the Project Manager.

The Kaskasi Wind Farm is approximately 35km (around 22 miles) north of Heligoland, Germany. It will have 38 Siemens Gamesa SG 8.0-167 DD Flex wind turbines, expected to be fully operational by the end of this year. With a total capacity of 342MW, the wind farm will power nearly 400,000 homes a year. Although it is still in the Installation phase, this offshore wind project will be crucial for Germany’s renewable energy goals. The Kaskasi Wind Farm will support the country in achieving 20GW of offshore wind energy by 2030 and 40GW by 2040.

The cooperation between the two companies has significantly increased since 2019. Over these years, we work together in Europe and the US. We supported SGRE on different scopes, such as commissioning, high voltage works, major correctives, and preventive maintenance. This offshore wind project is one more step in Endiprev’s positioning as the onshore and offshore projects’ engineering supplier.

“Our customers and the industry are looking for suppliers with a global presence, allowing them to have the same quality standards in Europe, America, or Asia”, states Tiago Ornelas, Endiprev’s Group Business Development Manager. In fact, Endiprev has achieved important milestones to be part of the worldwide energy challenge.
