Endiprev will be exhibiting on Belgian Offshore Days 2019, next week. With our participation, we want to show the event visitors our range of services and the experience we have acquired in the country and worldwide.

Belgian Offshore Cluster will host the Belgian Offshore Days 2019 event, from March 20th to March 21st, at the historical Wellington Racetrack, in Ostend. Belgium remains a pioneer in offshore wind energy among other European countries. The Belgium Offshore Days join in an annual event the whole offshore wind industry. It is an event that encourages collaboration between Belgian and international companies. Its single purpose is to promote offshore wind energy growth and to meet its goals.

Offshore wind energy has been growing very fast in Europe over the past few years. Despite the decrease in the new installed capacity compared to 2017, 2018 was a good year for offshore wind. Nevertheless, there were 15 more offshore wind farms fully connected to the grid, adding 2.649MW to the European capacity. In fact, Belgium’s contribution represented 12% (309MW) of the European gross capacity brought online last year. Overall, the country occupies the fourth position of European countries with the largest amount of offshore wind capacity accumulated, with 6.4%.

Belgian Offshore Days 2019 will also focus on the “Digitalization and the Future of Energy”. Alongside the conferences program, there will also be B2B meetings for visitors and participants to establish relations with new business partners across the entire offshore wind supply chain.
